Located in Boston's Back Bay on Newbury Street, The Michael Albor Loft Salon offers the finest in color & form hairdressing Boston has to offer.
Michael Albor approached me to help with his website as a part of rebranding his company to move into the digital era. Our audit of his company highlighted three different challenges that we focused on to create the highest impact in the short amount of time we were given. The COVID pandemic gave us about a month and a half to complete the first stage of work before salons reopened. The three problem areas we focused on include the following: - The old brand focused on "The Loft Salon" as the primary name of the company which reduced brand equity in Michael Albor. - The previous website had not been updated in almost a decade which left it feeling dated and out of touch. The COVID pandemic also placed huge importance on website sales to make up for lost revenue. - The different salon locations used three separate logos which created inconsistency and dissonance with customers. To address these issues, we came up with solutions to focusing on each one; - Shift the focus of the brand to Michael Albor and build equity behind the name. - Create a flexible identity system that encompasses both the Michael Albor salons and his personal brand as an influencer. - Build an effective online platform that represents the high-end, innovative, award-winning service Michael Albor is know for.
